The only major thing I see not fitting right is the girl's skirt... It is too clean of a line around her fabric and it stands out too much from the vivid background... This is nearly unavoidable in using the bright, strong colours, and as a colourist... I know why you feel the need to use strong colour... I'm the same way... but I have learned I must part with some of my yummy colour in order to get a seemless manip... If you'll notice, most of the REALLY good ones out there all have a muted colour scheme, sometimes only one or two colours used... this gives the illusion that each item in your picture was there at THAT MOMENT doing that EXACT thing at THAT time of day... Do you understand what I mean? Lighting and shadow, colour and texture has EVERYTHING to do with how well a manip will turn out.
One little thing to mention also is the blurriness of her hair... Careful with that... makes it look too fake... I was BAAAAAAAAD with this at first... I had to learn a better way...
But I love your concept and the idea is wonderful... I love the fractal brush... very unique.
PS: I know it's hard to fade the colours we so love as artists, especially colourists... but do what I do... pick vivid colours no one would expect and play them into your background by adding a universal texture to the entire manip, adding shadows appropriately and changing the colours of things to match each other.
PPS: Pssst...Dreamt doesn't have an apostrophe. Trust me. I'm an editor.
