Being born and raised in Alabama, the sad part is I can see this happening in some areas in the "South". Not the "South" as a whole, but in various ares where "bok lern'n" is almost feared. Places where football and hunting skills are more prized by family members than the ability to add, write, or identify ones next of kin by looking at their belt buckle.
